Why We Write: Notes on Stories and the Mind

This is a sample post to show how your blog will look. Replace it with your own writing anytime.

Every story begins with a question. Sometimes it is a question about a character, sometimes about a place, and very often it is a question about ourselves. Writing gives that question somewhere to live while we look for an answer.

A quiet kind of attention

Writing asks us to slow down and notice: the way light falls across a page, the words people choose when they are nervous, the small rituals that carry us through a day. That same attention sits at the heart of understanding the mind.

Every story is a small map of the mind.

In the posts to come, this journal will hold essays, stories and reflections on where writing and psychology meet.
